Discover the island of Koh Lanta...
Even though Koh Lanta has some of Thailand's best dive sites, visitors also love to explore and enjoy the island itself. Despite being one of Thailand's largest islands, Koh Lanta remains relatively unknown, often overlooked by the vast majority of visitors to Thailand.
At approximately 25 km long and 4 km wide, the more laid back island of Koh Lanta has avoided the crowds and mass-market tourism of places like Phuket, Phi Phi, Ao Nang or Koh Tao.

With amazing sunsets, long sandy beaches, fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling, great transport links and easy connections to Krabi town and Krabi Airport, Ao Nang, Koh Jum, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe and the quieter southern islands, we think that Koh Lanta could be the perfect holiday destination.
Private Speedboat Charter
For the perfect dive or snorkel trip, you can also privately charter a speed boat on Koh Lanta to some of the most beautiful islands, beaches, and coral reefs around Koh Lanta.
The ultimate way to avoid the crowds; design your own custom trip, decide your activities, choose the destination, and let our fantastic staff take care of you on a truly memorable day out for you and your family.
Beach Paradise
You can find our dive shop @ Lanta Castaway Beach Resort, located at the southern end of Long Beach. The well-appointed bungalows, friendly beach bar and open-air restaurant are perfect for divers to enjoy Lanta's relaxed atmosphere, scenery, beaches, and sunsets.
Most dive boats depart from the piers in Saladan, at the north of the island. This extra travelling distance can add quite a bit of journey time to many of the dive sites.
Unlike other dive operators, our speed boats depart from the beach at Lanta Castaway Beach Resort each morning, ensuring the shortest possible trip to the dive sites. Enjoy beach departures and an early afternoon return to Koh Lanta, so you can explore the island or relax on the beach after a perfect day diving.
Best Time to Visit Koh Lanta
The Koh Lanta diving season is determined by the weather and wind direction, with the easterly prevailing winds from October to May (the trade winds), and the westerly monsoon winds from June to early October.
Scuba diving and snorkeling around Koh Phi Phi is possible all year round, however most divers like to visit during the high season months of October to May when the wind direction usually brings better weather and sea conditions.
